Erica Timbrell Design is a landscape design company founded in August of 2016. Our office is based in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, and our projects span throughout the Bay Area. ETD focuses on the timeless and tasteful interpretation of our client’s vision for their garden, which is made stronger through a thoughtful and engaging design process. Our style varies from project to project, as we translate our client’s needs and aesthetic into attractive outdoor spaces that they will use and enjoy.
Erica Timbrell’s love and respect for the landscape developed as a child growing up 60 miles from the Florida Everglades. In her post-adolescent years, she was fortunate to spend time in the Colorado Rockies and the Idaho Sawtooth Range, where her admiration for nature expanded, and lasting landscape impressions fell firmly into place. After earning an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems, Erica worked in the technology industry in New York City until 2004. It was there, and during an exceptionally cold winter, that she decided to return to South Florida and study Landscape Architecture in her sub-tropical homeland. After receiving her Masters in Landscape Architecture in 2007, Erica worked for Raymond Jungles and Mario Nievera Design before moving to California. She has been a San Francisco resident since 2012, and attributes much of what she knows about the Bay Area landscape to her West Coast mentors and previous employers, Elizabeth Everdell and Scott Lewis. As Erica grows her business, she is forever thankful for her clients and the design opportunities that enable her to express her version of beauty in the landscape.
